Do your pieces turn out okay after using a homemade mold and vaseline as a release agent? The only issue was that all of the lines in my pieces were squiggly. It's not that the colorant wasn't mixed properly; in fact, it worked well. However, the pieces nearly appear to have cracks despite being intact.
